The Whys and Wherefores

This is an assignment from my writing course.  It has been a useful manifesto for me and I thought I would record it here on the Chronic Ills of Rach.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO BLOG?
I want to get my words out.  I want to help people like me.  I want an audience.  I like to share. And I would like a resource which leaves something of me when I can’t do blogging anymore, like an archive of my values and efforts and the things I am passionate about.

WHAT CAN YOU BRING TO YOUR READERS?
Honesty, humour, relevance, articulation, insight.

WHAT ARE YOUR BLOGGING GOALS?
I’d like to create a blog site, have some awesome images and make it look like a place I’d wanna hang out.  I want to write more.

HOW OFTEN TO YOU WAN TO BLOG?
Weekly, definitely, but probably more.

WHAT SORT OF CONTENT WILL YOU PRODUCE?
Emotive prose meets poetry pieces, journalled events, examinations of common issues for people like me, clear descriptions, links to useful articles and materials (maybe?), lifestyle adjustment suggestions… hope.

WHO IS YOUR IDEAL READER?
People sick with Dysautonomia who wish to celebrate the positive, who want to share and find ways to cope that are productive and edifying.
But also, parents  …I will be loading posts on here that I write for the wonderful Kylie over at Nic-Nac.  She has an online store selling amazing things, but more than that, she has an amazing philosophy.  All of her employees are disabled in some way.  And I am one of them.  Parents will find here some of the pieces I have written for her site.

HOW WILL YOUR READERS FEEL?
Like they are hanging out with their sister.  Understood.  Not alone.
